Stephanie studied the Graduate Diploma in Law after obtaining a Bachelors degree in Maths with Psychology. She then went on to obtain a distinction in family law during her Legal Practice Course at BPP University. Stephanie trained at Speechly Bircham, and then worked at Charles Russell after qualifying, prior to the subsequent merger between those firms to create Charles Russell Speechlys. She then worked at Burgess Mee, a boutique specialist family law firm in London set up by two solicitors from the top-tier Family law firm, Withers.
Stephanie has experience in a range of family law cases and clients. Her work includes financial proceedings arising on divorce and separation, children matters, and property disputes between unmarried couples. She has also advised a number of clients who are already divorced, such as those approaching retirement who wish to vary previous financial settlements, or those who need assistance with implementing aspects of orders. Before joining Expatriate Law in August 2017, Stephanie worked with many clients whose cases involved multinational elements and frequently deals with the division of assets held in complicated trust structures across multiple jurisdictions.
Stephanie takes a bespoke approach to each client’s case and ensures that the method of reaching a resolution is appropriate for that individual client, whether that be court proceedings, mediation or any other form of dispute resolution. She previously volunteered at Citizen’s Advice Bureau in Southwark, where she often dealt with clients in very difficult situations and who had frequently suffered from domestic violence. She has an empathetic but strong approach, and strives to go the extra mile for all of her clients.
