Alexander Knight

Alexander is a Senior Associate Barrister working from the Singapore office of Expatriate Law. He provides advice and guidance to British expatriates in matrimonial finance and cohabitee disputes under the law of England and Wales.

Prior to joining Expatriate Law, Alexander practiced as a barrister with The 36 Group, a leading barristers’ chambers in central London. His practice as a self-employed barrister has provided him with first-hand experience of representing and assisting clients both in and out of court.

Alexander is frequently instructed on complex factual and legal matters, requiring intellectual rigour, sound judgement and clear advice. He has earned praise for his skilful and impressive advocacy, and manages all of his cases with an exceptionally high standard of client care.

In addition to his busy client practice, Alexander has given various talks on topics such as expert valuations in a pandemic, dealing with businesses in financial proceedings, and a number of financial remedy updates on case law and news.

Alexander is able to assist clients in respect of financial remedy matters, including matters involving:

  • high net worth divorces
  • jurisdictional disputes
  • financial provision after an overseas divorce
  • recognition of foreign marriages and divorces
  • cross-border enforcement of financial orders

Alexander is a member of the Family Law Bar Association (the specialist Bar Association for family barristers in England and Wales).
