Kristin S. Doeberl
Kristin is a compassionate and dedicated family law advocate. She negotiates and drafts prenuptial, separation, and modification agreements, and represents clients in divorce, custody, removal, international child abduction, modification, contempt, and equity proceedings. Kristin specializes in representing clients facing high-conflict custody situations and cases involving violence in the home, mental health issues, and substance use disorder. She also regularly works with child development and parenting experts, as well as mental health, business valuation, and forensic experts. Kristin advises clients on issues impacting the LGBTQ community, and handles second-parent adoptions. She also serves as a court-certified conciliator, and devotes pro bono hours to the Settlement and Early Resolution Volunteers program in Suffolk County and to various Lawyer for the Day programs.
Kristin has been named a Boston Magazine Top Lawyer, listed in The Best Lawyers In America under Family Law, and selected for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers© under Family Law. She has spoken and presented at various international and domestic conferences on various family law topics. Kristin is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Boston Bar Association, the Greater Boston Family Law Inn of Courts, and the Wellesley Lawyers Network.
Kristin graduated from Wellesley College, and served as commencement speaker at graduation from Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, Kristin interned with the Honorable Judge Nancy Gertner (retired) of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and at the United Nations’ International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague.
