Nicholas W. Lobenthal represents high net worth individuals in complex family law and related commercial matters. He serves as both as trial and appellate counsel and negotiates settlements and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. An elected Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAFL) and current member of its USA Chapter’s board of managers, he holds a Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” rating including input from the judiciary (highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards) and is recognized by Spears 500, Chambers & Partners, and as a “Superlawyer” and “Lawdragon.” Nicholas has co-authored a survey of New York family law published by Thomson-Reuters and has lectured on business valuation and civil rights issues. He is an honours graduate of Yale College and of Columbia Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Columbia Journal of Law & Social Problems and a Stone Scholar.
