Adam is a dual-qualified solicitor with over 25 years of legal experience spanning South Africa and the United Kingdom, specialising in family law and high-net-worth divorce matters. He is admitted to practise in both the High Court of South Africa and the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

Adam represents international clients in complex divorce and family disputes, often involving cross-border elements, trusts, and substantial financial assets. He has particular expertise in financial remedy proceedings, international child relocation, and cases involving non-disclosure or asset concealment.

In 2023, he was appointed an acting judge of the High Court of South Africa (Gauteng Division) – a testament to his deep knowledge of the law and judicial temperament.

Adam completed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS) in 2022 and now represents clients in both South Africa and in English courts.

Adam is known for his meticulous preparation, creative legal strategies, and compassionate client care. He offers clear, pragmatic advice and is a skilled negotiator and litigator, equally comfortable in court or at the mediation table.

  • cases involving the enforceability of cross-border prenuptial agreements including the enforceability in England and Wales of prenuptial agreements entered into in South Africa.
  • international child relocation cases.
  • securing a wife’s beneficial interest in property held by a deceased’s estate.
  • representing clients in jurisdictional battles, including simultaneous proceedings in South Africa and England.
  • obtaining expedited final orders in the High Court where a spouse’s death was imminent, protecting the surviving spouse’s legal position.
  • challenging CMS calculations by highlighting undisclosed assets.
  • cases involving the recognition and enforcement of South African child support orders in foreign jurisdictions.
